The most suitable method for the filling of pipeline casings is the STOPAQ® Corrosion Preventative System for Casings. In relation to the effectiveness of this system in which STOPAQ® Casing Filler is injected as a casing filler material, we can say it is far superior to any other coating system yet in the market. This system combines the excellent corrosion preventative properties and the visco-elastic behavior of STOPAQ®. All materials are non toxic, environmentally friendly and easy to install. They stay flexible forever and therefore seal the objects in the most optimum way. Cathodic protection current flowing through the casing on to the carrier pipe is stopped. STOPAQ® Casing Filler will protect the casing itself from corroding. Pinholes have occurred in the walls of casings as the cathodic protection current leaves the inner surface of the casing and flows through casing water to the carrier pipe.

The corrosion protective, non-curing, surface tolerant STOPAQ® FN 4200 is designed for filling and protecting poorly to clean or non-cleaned corrosion sensitive areas in narrow, difficult to access above ground spaces such as gaps between flanges, around bolt threads in bolt holes and around flange seals where water can accumulate. The material is suited for application with a hand operated injection tool, equipped with a flexible nozzle (STOPAQ® supplied), does not cure and is unable to build-up internal stresses. Due to the permanent viscous properties, the STOPAQ® Injection Filler will, during time, tend to flow out of the filled spaces. Therefore the filled gaps should be covered with a layer of STOPAQ® wrapping material, such as Wrappingband CZH or EZ Wrap. For above ground flange application, an additional mechanical protection layer such as STOPAQ® Flangebelt, Polyester, or UV-resistant PVC tape could be installed.

Stopaq Polyester is a UV curing reinforced fiberglass on a roll. The Stopaq Polyester cures in sunlight, creating a strong impermeable shield. Use Stopaq Polyester to protect insulated pipe, coated pipe, for chemical protection and to reinforce existing pipe and structures.

STOPAQ® Outer Wrap PVC is used for mechanical protection of corrosion protective systems, such as the STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZH and CZ. The Outer Wrap has high puncture and aging resistance and is well suited for above-ground, under ground and submerged applications. The heavy-duty adhesive layer provides high adhesion strength to the outer surface of the STOPAQ® Wrappingband as well as to its own backing. The Outer Wrap has a good resistance to impacts and abrasion, as well as resistance against the influences from alkalis and acids.

The STOPAQ® High Impact Shield comes in a standard size of 660mm (higher or lower on request) to act as a mechanical protection layer over STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZ(H) and can be fixed to the adjacent pipeline coating types such as PE, PP. The STOPAQ® High Impact Shield provides a combination of excellent corrosion protection, adhesion to the substrate together with extremely easy and fast application, significant application and surface pre-treatment cost savings. Depending on the cutback, the first layer always consists of STOPAQ®  Wrappingband CZ(H) in preferably two wrappings with a minimum 30mm overlap at the weld seam. The Wrappingband CZH is always viscous at the temperatures of use, -45ºC up to max. +85ºC (cold flow) and therefore flows, into all irregularities on the steel surface and is able to self-heal small damages like dents and cuts in the shrinkable seamless mechanical protection layer.
