TEK-RAP 281 CO-EXTRUDED SELF-SEALING/PRESSURE SENSITIVE JOINT COATING is a cold applied conformable coating consisting of polyethylene backing and butyl rubber adhesive. The butyl adhesive is an extremely aggressive formulation promoting the strongest cohesive overlap bonding of any present polyethylene joint tape in the market. It provides excellent conformability for field joints, ells, tees, valves, patch and repair and other pipe fittings. Material is available in various thicknesses. Below properties are based on a 35 mil coating.
